About this tour
This tour takes you to three stops around Ålesund: the Godøya viewpoint, the Alnes lighthouse and the Aksla viewpoint.
From Godøya, the Island of the Gods, you have a panoramic view of Ålesund and the archipelago around it. Through the underwater tunnel you reach Alnes, a fishing community with a view of the Atlantic Ocean, and visit the local lighthouse.
The last stop is the Aksla viewpoint, with a view over the town and the archipelago. If you want to walk down to the city centre by the 418 steps, the tour ends for you here; the other passengers are taken back to the starting point.
Itinerary
- Departure: Ålesund pier.
- Godøya viewpoint: Godøya belongs to Giske municipality, known from the Giske saga of the Viking era.
- Alnes lighthouse: the beaches and waves here draw surfers. The entrance fee to the lighthouse is included in the tour ticket.
- Aksla viewpoint: from the top of the town mountain Aksla there is a view of the city centre, the archipelago and the Sunnmøre Alps. From Aksla you can walk 418 steps down to the city park.
- Arrival: Ålesund pier.
The order of the stops may vary. If the winter road to Aksla is not safe, another point of interest is chosen instead.
Meeting point
Our bus will be located in the parking lot between the Ålesund Rutebilstasjon (Ålesund Bus Station) and the pier. Look for the bus or minibus with the company name "EXCURSIONS.NO".
